It’s going to be such a special tour, we can’t wait to see you all again.”
Considered by many the ‘Godfather of Punk’ Iggy Pop is widely acknowledged as one of THE most dynamic stage performers of all time. This year alone Iggy has performed numerous festival and headline dates across Europe followed by a recent North American tour, he has also just been confirmed for 2026’s Coachella Music Festival.
A fearless and legendary rock front man known for his outrageous, unpredictable and physically demanding stage performance, Iggy’s recent set lists have focused on his classic material with songs like ‘T.V. Eye’, ‘Raw Power’, ‘The Passenger’, ‘Lust for Life’ and fan favourite, ‘Real Wild Child’ as well as showcasing songs from his 2023 album ‘Every Loser’.

Iggy Pop said; “I am knocked out by the chance to come and rock hard and enjoy the incredible summer in beautiful New Zealand; mountains, lakes, beaches and good times, oh hell yeah! I am bringing the world's greatest rock band and a full bag of everything I know how to do, and the songs I can offer, from hard rock to rock pop.”
Joan Jett grew up during a time when Rock ‘n’ Roll was off limits to girls and women, but as a teenager, she promptly blew the door to the boy’s club right off its hinges. After forming her band with the Blackhearts in 1979, she has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics ‘Bad Reputation’, ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’, ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You’, and ‘Crimson and Clover’.
With a career that has spanned music, film, television and Broadway and humanitarianism Joan Jett remains a potent force and inspiration to generations of fans worldwide.
Described as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” and “Godmother of Punk”, Joan Jett is celebrated for her rebellious spirit, fierce performances, and raw powerful music. Jett along with her band The Blackhearts will be coming to Aotearoa in 2026.
I’m thrilled to be playing in New Zealand and performing for the fans there, really looking forward to it!” said Joan Jett.
Formed in Sydney in 1981, the Hoodoo Gurus hold a singular place in Australian and indeed international Rock ‘n’ Roll history. Renowned for their inventive and witty songwriting, dynamic live shows, and fusion of garage rock, pop and psychedelia. The band boasts 9 x Australian ARIA Top 20 albums, 9 x ARIA Top 40 singles and a host of multi-platinum albums – they’re mainstays of the live scene with their string of pop-rock hits, ‘My Girl’, ‘I Want You Back’,’Bittersweet’, ‘Like Wow – Wipeout,’ and their biggest single, ‘What’s My Scene?’ which has become ingrained in Australian culture. The enduring significance of Hoodoo Gurus is reflected in sell-out tours with the band continuing the celebration of their 40th Anniversary through their ‘Back to the Stoneage’ tour that highlights their debut album.
The Hoodoo Gurus release the 40th Anniversary deluxe set of their album ‘Mars Needs Guitars’ tomorrow, October 17.
ZED were an essential part of the soundtrack to New Zealand life between 1999 and 2004, amassing an impressive ten Top 40 hits during the height of their career. The band — still performing with their original line-up — has matured into a powerhouse live act. With the release of their new album Future Memory, ZED continue to deliver the anthemic, hook-laden sound that defined a generation. Fans can expect timeless favourites like ‘Renegade Fighter’, ‘Hard to Find Her’, and ‘Glorafilia’, alongside fresh new material that reaffirms their place as one of New Zealand’s most enduring rock bands

And that’s a wrap for 2025 as the GREENSTONE SUMMER CONCERT TOUR finishes on a high note for their 15th Anniversary.
Featuring the all-star line-up of COLD CHISEL, ICEHOUSE, BIC RUNGA and EVERCLEAR, the 2025 tour attracted a phenomenal attendance with over 40,000 music lovers flocking to one of the shows held in Queenstown, Taupō and Whitianga over the last two weekends.
FAREWELL TO GIBBSTON VALLEY
The only South Island show was held for the final time at the Gibbston Valley venue on a sweltering hot Central Otago day as Greenstone Entertainment now seeks a new home for future concerts in the South. The tour then moved to Taupō and the beautiful lakeside venue of the Taupō Amphitheatre, with the final stop at The Whitianga Waterways Arena marking a celebratory return to the Coromandel after four year’s absence.
Greenstone Entertainment who are renown for delivering high-calibre events upheld their 15 year reputation as fans remarked on 2025 being one of the strongest line-up of iconic artists yet. Others praised the fantastic atmosphere, the range of vendors and the overall seamlessness of the day.
Furthermore, reviews for the 2025 tour have been unanimously outstanding.
The NZ Herald said; “Cold Chisel brought their acclaimed 50th Anniversary Tour to New Zealand after wowing audiences throughout Australia, the ageless pub rockers have only enhanced their reputations as Australasian rock royalty.”
“In their 51st year together, (Jimmy) Barnes and (Ian) Moss have an obvious and enduring chemistry….. Barnes’ performance of Choirgirl is as soulful now as it was in 1980 and Moss’ cover of Georgia (Ray Charles) was utterly spectacular.”
Stuff added: “Music powerhouses Cold Chisel, Icehouse wow crowds……it was a sea of sun hats, deck chairs and an enthusiastic crowd of attendees there to soak in the sounds of music powerhouses Cold Chisel, Icehouse, Bic Runga and Everclear.”
The Otago Daily Times commented; “Eight years after last performing at Gibbston, (ICEHOUSE) frontman and founder Iva Davies, in particular, sounded as good as ever as he performed an array of their hits, including Hey Little Girl, Electric Blue and, to the audience’s delight, Great Southern Land.”
At the close of the tour, Amanda Calvert, CEO of Greenstone Entertainment said; “Our heartfelt thanks to all the incredible artists who performed on the 15th Anniversary Summer Concert tour. Cold Chisel who bought their milestone ‘The Big-50’ tour to New Zealand; ICEHOUSE who joined us for one more ride following their 2017 run and to our new friends, everclear and Bic Runga, we had a blast!. And, special thanks to the 40,000 fans who sang and danced their days off, we are endlessly grateful for your continued support. We look forward to bringing you another epic line-up of artists in 2026, so stay tuned.”
Due to the wet start to the day it’s taking our teams a little bit longer than expected to get everything set up so we are delaying the start of the show by 1 HOUR.
Please find the new timings for the Summer Concert Tour in Whitianga
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are expecting weather to improve and are forecasting rock n roll and good times at the Whitianga Waterways.

Today, the Taupō Amphitheatre played host to the second GREENSTONE SUMMER CONCERT TOUR show of 2025 featuring COLD CHISEL, ICEHOUSE, BIC RUNGA and EVERCLEAR.
Once again, Taupō was a ripping, sell-out event with 17,000 music lovers packing the magnificent lakeside venue.
Opening the 7 hours of back-to-back music were Auckland teenage band Rumpus Machine who performed a selection of epic classic rock songs alongside their originals.
American rock band everclear wasted no time cracking into their performance of mid-90’s hits including ‘Father of Mine’, ‘Wonderful’, ‘Everything to Everyone’ rounding off their tight set with arguably their biggest song ‘Santa Monica’.
Next up, Bic Runga delivered a flawless performance, her ‘pure’ vocals resonating across the crowd who were treated to a selection of Bic’s biggest hits including ‘Something Good’, ‘Bursting Through’ and of course ‘Drive’.
The instantly recognisable, lush vocals of ICEHOUSE founder and lead singer Iva Davies had the Taupō audience swooning as ICEHOUSE delivered a brilliant performance of timeless hits including ‘We Can Get Together’, ‘Crazy’, ‘Hey Little Girl’ and ‘No Promises’.
And then, the wait was over for COLD CHISEL, as long-time band mates Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss and Don Walker took to the stage for a blazing gig with the crowd at once on their feet to dance to their classic hits such as ‘Flame Trees’, ‘Khe Sanh’ and ‘Bow River’.
The Greenstone New Zealand shows are a continuation of Chisel’s ‘The Big Five-O’, 50th Anniversary Australian tour, the reviews both sides of the Tasman have been outstanding.
The NZ Herald said; “If 10/10 is maximum effort, Barnes rates an 11 – with facial expressions that most of us reserve for standing on Lego.”
As the day came to a close,17,000 fans left satiated after yet another concert event to remember.
Amanda Calvert, CEO of Greenstone Entertainment commented; “Taupō is always like a homecoming, it’s where the Summer Concert Tour became a tour.
