THE REGION

Less than three hours’ drive from Auckland, (or a 20 minute flight) on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula is Whitianga. Whitianga is surrounded by a number of New Zealand’s most stunning and popular attractions including; Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Mercury Islands and the diverse topography of the Coromandel east coast. THE VENUE

Greenstone Entertainment is proud to bring the annual Summer Concert Tour back to  Whitianga Waterways Arena  which is a purposely built concert site easily able to cater for up to 15,000 people. Its brilliant wide spaces allow for plenty of parking, along with generous areas for seating for concert goers. With the backdrop of the Waterways and the surrounding native bush it is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon of ‘classic rock’ from some of the world’s greatest bands.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

Alcohol is not permitted to be bought into the venue to comply with the NZ Liquor Licensing laws.

A wide selection of Gibbston Valley Wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and their award-winning Pinot Noir will be sold at the venue along with beer and non-alcoholic beverages. FREE refill water will be available.

You may bring your own picnic and non-alcoholic drinks. A variety of local food vendors will be on site. Please note: the management reserves the rights to search bags and coolers on entry and prohibited items will be confiscated.

 
TRANSPORT

On-site parking will be available on the day.
A gold coin donation to a nominated local charity group is appreciated.
Please follow directions from Traffic Management on the day.

Whitianga Loop Shuttle Bus
There is a FREE Whitianga Town Loop Shuttle Bus which runs on 2 routes to the concert and back.
This is a FREE bus for concert goers sponsored by Thames Coromandel District Council.

Loop 1: Ferry – i-SITE – Mercury Bay Area School – Venue

Loop 2: Centennial Ave – Buffalo Beach Rd (toilets near Halligan Rd) – Venue

Hahei and Cooks Beach shuttle service is to and from ferry, door to door.
Start at 9.00am & returns on request.

Whitianga out of town buses (ie Coromandel, Pauanui, Whangamata etc…) Children do require a bus ticket to board these buses.

SEATING

Chairs are permitted to be used at the venue but, please be considerate to the people around you.

Sun shades are permitted in selected area’s, please bring hats and plenty of sun screen.

If you wish to bring umbrellas please be aware that you will be placed in a designated umbrella area.

 
CANCELLATION

The show will go on rain, hail, or shine so come prepared for NZ’s changeable weather. The concert will only be cancelled if the conditions are considered dangerous by the organisers .

If cancellation occurs, tickets will be refunded only at the point of purchase. If a change is made to the line-up and it is out of the promoters control, no refunds will be made.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

The event is wheelchair accessible.

Parking and toilets will be available but as it is a grass venue please ensure mobility on this surface.

If you have any special requirements please contact us  so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.

 
GENERAL INFORMATION

No professional video or audio recording equipment is to be brought in to the venue e.g. long lens cameras. Any equipment discovered will be confiscated.

Medical, Police and the Fire Service will be on site.

No animals except guide dogs.

No cookers or fires permitted on site.

Strictly NO ALCOHOL

Please bring plenty of cash as most vendors will not have card facilities within the venue. Cash out facilities are available at the venue.

Management reserves the right to remove or refuse entry to ticket holders considered dangerous or a nuisance or failing to comply with reasonable requests.
