The Gibbston Valley Winery Summer Concert is a major draw-card, not just when it comes to classic rock music. This leading NZ event is held near Queenstown, an alpine resort town nestled between a stunning mountain range and the sparkling waters of Lake Wakatipu. A magical playground for adventure sports in the summer, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter, Queenstown attracts tourists year round to the South Island of New Zealand.

Queenstown appeals to everybody – it’s exciting, vibrant, family friendly, peaceful and stunningly beautiful. There’s an incredible range of attractions for all ages! Queenstown is located in the Otago region which hosts some of the world’s most magnificent scenery – home to many of the scenes of ‘Middle Earth’ from The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.

Search and find accommodation on trivago to ensure you’ve got a great place to stay sorted for after the concert!

Gibbston Valley Winery is located less than half an hour’s drive north of Queenstown on the Kawarau River. Known as the “Valley of Vines” in an area planted extensively with vineyards and orchards and dotted with the remnants of original gold mining settlements, Gibbston Valley is internationally renowned for the quality of its wines.

Central to that reputation is Gibbston Valley Winery, the region’s first commercial vineyard and winner of over 220 national and international wine awards.

Surrounded by towering mountains, bordered by the beautiful Kawarau River, Gibbston Valley Winery offers not only stunning views and fabulous wines, but a perfect location for a Queenstown concert in a vineyard setting.
